Antigua's Citizenship Program Funds the Budget, but US Visa Access Just Narrowed
Prime Minister Gaston Browne says the Citizenship by Investment Programme has generated more than EC$1.4 billion in 11 years, underpinning a primary surplus of $254.9 million. But a practical caveat now applies to passport holders: US entry on B-1, B-2, F, M and J visas has been suspended for Antigua and Barbuda nationals since January 1, 2026.
What this means for you: if you are considering the passport mainly for US mobility, factor in the visa suspension; the document’s value for American travel has changed.
