Mottley Government Raids Barbados Site, Finds 68 Migrant Workers in Illegal Barracks

A high-level team led by Prime Minister Mia Mottley visited a construction site and found 68 Colombian and Indian labourers housed in what officials described as inhumane, unlicensed barracks, giving the company hours to relocate them. The intervention followed a whistle-blow by the Barbados Workers’ Union during a Social Partnership meeting.
