Benji and the Cliffside Crew
For Educators & Parents
Discussion guides, classroom use, and read-aloud notes. Coming soon.
What’s coming
A discussion-question pack for each story. Vocabulary notes for words rooted in Jamaica Creole. Suggested age-band guidance. Read-aloud pacing notes.
In the meantime
Each story is between 1,500 and 2,000 words — the length of a typical middle-grade chapter book chapter, or a single read-aloud session for ages 8 through 12.
The stories share a structure: Benji sees something is wrong, the crew comes to investigate, and something small is repaired. Useful prompts: What did Benji see that the adults missed? What did Omar, Clevie, or Nadine have to do that Benji couldn’t? Was the resolution fair?
