Corrections

Corrections policy and log for The Tradewinds Brief.

We make corrections promptly and visibly. Accuracy is not a courtesy we extend to readers — it is the basis on which we ask for their attention.

How to Report an Error

If you have found a factual error in any piece we have published, please write to editorial@tradewindsbrief.com with:

  • The URL of the piece
  • The specific claim you believe is incorrect
  • The source or evidence supporting your correction

We respond to every correction request, typically within 48 hours.

What We Correct

  • Factual errors in dates, figures, quotes, names, places, or events.
  • Misattributions of statements, decisions, or actions.
  • Calculation errors in any numbers we publish.
  • Misleading framing when readers can reasonably show that a piece has created a wrong impression.

How Corrections Are Made

When we issue a correction, we:

  1. Update the piece with the correct information.
  2. Append a dated correction note at the bottom of the piece.
  3. Log the correction here, on this page, with a link to the corrected piece.
  4. If the correction is material, we re-issue the piece in our next newsletter with a correction notice.

We do not silently edit pieces to fix factual errors. Every correction is dated and visible.
