Dominica Extends VAT and Duty Relief on Essentials Through End of July

Dominica’s VAT exemptions and import-duty waivers on essential goods remain in force through the end of July, part of measures introduced to cushion households against rising global prices. Officials have said the relief will be reviewed again in the next budget cycle to decide whether to extend it further.

For the diaspora sending goods or support home, the waivers ease the cost of basics for now, though the end-of-month deadline makes the coming budget decision one to watch.
