Dominica awaits a June US review that could lift its travel restrictions

Dominica’s government says a June review of the U.S. presidential proclamation that imposed partial entry restrictions on Dominican nationals could restore previous travel access, with Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit stating that Roseau believes it has addressed the concerns Washington raised. The restrictions, issued in December 2025, cited identity-management and citizenship-by-investment vetting risks, and Skerrit has defended Dominica’s CBI programme as among the most reputable while pledging continued tightening. For a diaspora that relies on cross-border mobility, the outcome of the review carries direct, practical weight.
