Grenada launches first Diaspora Homecoming to court overseas nationals
Grenada is running its inaugural Diaspora Homecoming 2026, a Cabinet-approved programme stretching from June 21 to July 5 that Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell has cast as a deliberate shift away from treating the diaspora as a source of remittances and barrels toward integrating it as a development partner. Activities open with a welcome for returning nationals at Maurice Bishop International Airport and conclude with a concert at the Grenada Trade Centre. The framing speaks directly to TWB’s audience: a government explicitly asking its overseas community for skills, networks and capital, not just cash.
