Caribbean Airlines Adds Daily Toronto–Georgetown Non-Stop Flights From July 1

Caribbean Airlines announced it will begin daily non-stop service between Toronto and Georgetown effective July 1, expanding options on one of the most heavily travelled corridors for the Guyanese diaspora in Canada. The carrier currently runs the route on a less-than-daily basis, and the move responds to sustained demand from family, business, and seasonal travel between the two cities.

For diaspora households, daily frequency means more flexible scheduling, easier connections, and added competition on a route long dominated by limited capacity. Officials framed the expansion against a backdrop of rising visitor arrivals and growing commercial traffic tied to Guyana’s energy-led economy. Aviation authorities have separately flagged that climbing global shipping and fuel costs remain a pressure point for fares and freight, a caution worth watching as the new schedule beds in.
