Kenya's New Fiscal Year Brings 26 Tax Changes Into Force
A set of 26 tax changes took effect in Kenya from July 1 with the start of the new fiscal year, touching a range of goods, services and levies. Separately, the Communications Authority has introduced a licensing framework for digital courier platforms due to begin on July 29.
For Kenyans at home and in the Gulf and wider diaspora, the tax adjustments could shift the cost of everyday items and remittance-funded purchases. Taxpayers are advised to review the official schedule to understand which changes apply to them.
