MCDOOM — An informal council of seven regulars at a small rum shop on the East Bank Demerara reached a unanimous position Friday evening on the allocation priorities of the 2026 national budget, a policy framework which remains unconsulted by the Ministry of Finance despite what observers described as ‘considerable merit.’
