Saint Lucia’s Tourism-Led Growth Holds Near 3.7% as OECS Host

Saint Lucia’s economy has been expanding at an estimated 3.7%, driven by a tourism recovery and increased construction activity, even as high import and energy costs temper the pace. As home to the OECS Commission headquarters in Castries, the island also anchors the sub-region’s integration agenda, now marking the bloc’s 45th anniversary. The combination — a tourism-anchored economy and a hub role in regional institutions — positions Saint Lucia at the centre of Eastern Caribbean efforts to diversify energy, deepen digital services and build resilience against external shocks.
