Trinidad's Phoenix Park wins the operations role at Guyana's Wales gas-liquids plant
Trinidad’s Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited, alongside GuyGas Inc., has been named preferred bidder to operate and maintain the natural-gas-liquids plant at Wales under Guyana’s Gas-to-Energy project. The selection deepens a growing energy-services link between the two producers as Trinidad works to offset declining domestic gas and Guyana builds out downstream capacity. It also signals a practical answer to Trinidad’s brain-drain and diversification debate: exporting technical expertise regionally rather than only competing for it. For Trinbagonian professionals in energy, the corridor to Guyanese projects is widening.
